Loch Ness, Glencoe & the Highlands
Edinburgh to the shores of Loch Ness by way of Glencoe's glacier-carved peaks, with time on the water and a whisky stop in the Trossachs.
Polar bears, wolves and Amur tigers in the Cairngorms, plus a Victorian Highland town, all in comfort on your own private day tour with Drive Me Wild Scotland.
Enjoy the Scottish Highlands at your own pace on an exclusive private tour for your family or small group. Travelling in a comfortable minivan with your own driver-guide, you start at Taste of Perthshire, a showcase of Scottish produce, crafts and whisky, where you can enjoy breakfast or coffee and meet the resident Highland cows. You then head into the Cairngorms National Park for the Highland Wildlife Park, where you can see Scottish wildcats, red deer, Arctic foxes, polar bears, wolves, lynx and Amur tigers, driving through the safari-style reserve and walking among the enclosures. On the way back, you stop in the Victorian town of Pitlochry to explore its streets, shops and riverside. Because the tour is private, the timings and stops can be adjusted to suit you.
Morning: Edinburgh to Taste of Perthshire
Your driver-guide collects you and heads north into Perthshire. Our first stop is Taste of Perthshire, a food-and-gift stop with Scottish produce, tweeds, handmade crafts and whiskies. Enjoy a Scottish breakfast or a coffee, and say hello to the Highland cows (“hairy coos”) who live here.
Mid-morning to afternoon: The Highland Wildlife Park
We continue into the heart of the Cairngorms National Park to the Highland Wildlife Park. Drive through the safari-style reserve and walk the enclosures to see native and exotic species: Scottish wildcats, red deer, Arctic foxes, polar bears, wolves, lynx and Amur tigers. Entry is included in your tour. [Confirm this if true for your price.]
Late afternoon: Pitlochry
On the return journey, stop in Pitlochry, a charming Victorian town in the Perthshire Highlands. Browse boutique shops, walk by the river, and if time allows visit the Pitlochry Dam and Fish Ladder or relax at a local café. The whisky ice cream and fish and chips are local favourites.
Evening: Back to Edinburgh
We return to Edinburgh with views of the Perthshire countryside. 6:00PM
Note: as a private tour, the route and timings can be adapted to your group’s interests.

Our driver-guide was exceptional! Travelling in a small executive group meant we could pull in at secluded Highland viewpoints the big 50-seater coaches couldn't reach. The local folklore through Glencoe made Scotland truly come alive.
A truly five-star experience from start to finish. The pace was relaxed and unhurried with ample time for photographs, lochside walks, and an authentic village lunch. Drive Me Wild Scotland exceeded every expectation!
First time exploring Scotland, and this tour made the whole trip unforgettable. Having an authentic Scottish driver-guide sharing personal stories and deep clan history made every mile fascinating. Spotless Mercedes mini-coach!
The scenery was breathtaking, and the small group atmosphere felt so welcoming. Our driver knew exactly where to stop for panoramic photos away from the crowds and gave great recommendations for the rest of our holiday.
From the prompt city departure to the scenic evening return, everything was seamlessly managed. Warm Scottish hospitality, executive seating with massive panoramic windows, and brilliant storytelling. Outstanding tour!
